I was puttering about in the backyard, cleaning up the dead stems etc, got to my kale patch where I hadn’t pulled out the plants last fall.

NEW LEAVES ARE GROWING whut kale isn’t supposed to be a zone 4 perennial, is it. o___o WHAT DO I DO the stem is big and dead-looking and kind of ugly but lksdjalkd I don’t wanna pull it out when the plants have worked so hard to grow! I guess I don’t need to put in too many kale seeds now… maybe sow a couple of the cavolo nero though, that one is cool-looking. :D

Totally blurry, but this is the first flower in the garden. It’s already closed, so I can’t go get another pic today.. :( One lone yellow crocus left after the great Squirrel invasion last fall. T_____T Are my orange, white and violet crocuses even left, sobs.

The daffodils and random tulips are coming up, but haven’t flowered yet, will see what’s left after The Squirrel attack… weird thing is, my pasque flowers haven’t flowered yet, either, though they’re supposed to be among the first too… though I do see some of the telltale silvery furry thingies….. it’s a waiting game, and this year’s cool spring hasn’t helped much, I guess. :(

Some of my starts, looking good. :) Eggplants, peppers, okra and asparagus in the first pic, flowers in the second, more peppers and tomatoes in the third. Lettuce and broccoli are downstairs, so not in the pic. Wish the weather would warm up already. :<

Sowed peppers, eggplants first, and later; most of the flowers and broccoli. Also 2 varieties of romaine lettuce. The lettuce & broccoli broke ground in a day. ONE DAY. o_o Is this normal… Last year the lettuce took a few days…. I have a heat mat under the pepper/eggplant section of the flat… does the heat make this much of a difference for cool season crops too?!

The flowers are on the other end of the flat and I saw a couple of varieties sprouting within a day, too. o_o I had given them a week or more to even sprout, if they’re going gangbusters like this, I’m gonna be fucked for space al;kfj;lvja;lskjf;lasjd;lkj

I went with the “sprinkle a generous bunch of seeds” technique

no regrets for now but possibly later

Discount greenhouse, flats and starters, heat mat, mycorrhizae, lightbulbs & assorted electrical stuff , random containers for planting, and soil & coir in the big box. Also tags, neem oil (it was on sale, and I couldn’t resist) and a lot of seeds. o_o How I ended up with so many seeds in only 2 years will be a mystery. No wait, impulse shopper, nevermind. »

Seed starters, discount greenhouse, diy flats, tags, heat mat, bulbs, assorted electrical equipment (mainly adapters, cords, etc), extra capillary matting, bean inocupant, neem oil, towels, random stuff, and a buncha seeds! :D Soil and coir thingies inside the big box. READY TO GO, YAAAAAY

Windows Surface RT - aaaaand reset needed.

My Microsoft Surface RT is now being reset to factory settings. sobs.

The tech support agent said my problem was one they’ve never encountered so far, and they’re gonna have to follow up… so basically my Surface made up a brand new problem. :|

So now I’ll have to set up my stuff all over again. T_T I’d saved all my docs and pics, etc in my micro SD card, so that was okay, not really anything to lose - I just need to set up/sync things again, and download the few apps I need, and group my start menu.

And set up my gazillion faves…. and somehow find a way to save my bookmarks in IE, coz damn if I’m gonna do this again. :\ Aaaah I wish we could use Opera in winRT. :( I love that browser so damn much. Hope windows store opens up to other browsers soon… /rant

I was kind of prepared for bugs and random problems though - early adopter risks!

Though I have to say, I do love the device (even without the Opera browser..!) so far. A lot of uses, and a total pc replacement for me - this is the first time I’m using my laptop after I got the Surface. Truly a laptop-tablet hybrid. Microsoft has a good product on their hands, and things can only go up from this. :)

Though perhaps Microsoft should think about advertising some of the specs/features and USES of the Surface in their ads with students/businessmen/moms/kids, etc rather than just random dancers bouncing about with the coloured keyboards and making ‘clack’ sounds with the kickstand? Just a thought. :|

Reset’s at 53%… will my Surface work after it’s done, or will it not?

Guess we’ll see.

UPDATE: Everything seems to be okay now; and I didn’t have to set-up my IE bookmarks after all - they were all saved on there, even after a complete reset! :D I needed to set up my apps, and configure the start screen, that was it. :) But now I have to install updates. XD Oh, Microsoft.

So basically, Frankenstein fooled the 11th Elder into thinking he was distracted by the rhino-Seira fight

…when he really was just waiting for the ~~grasshopper~~ Elder into coming closer

just so he could take advantage of that second to target the Elder when he tries to land a finishing blow. Guess sacrificing some blood to Dark Spear was also in his calculations??!

He really did play the 11th Elder like a fiddle, didn’t he alsd;jflasda. I am full of admiration.
